02 — Install

The first time, your system may ask whether to run an app downloaded from the internet. Here is what to expect:

Windows

Run the installer. The portable version needs no installation – just start the .exe from any folder.
If Windows SmartScreen shows Windows protected your PC, click More info → Run anyway.
Start KeeSync and sign in with your KeeSync account.

macOS

Open the .dmg file and drag KeeSync to the Applications folder.
Start it from Applications. If macOS cannot verify the app, right-click (or Control-click) KeeSync and choose Open – only the first time. On macOS 15 and newer use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Start KeeSync and sign in with your KeeSync account.

Linux

AppImage – make the file executable and start it:

chmod +x KeeSync-0.4.0.AppImage && ./KeeSync-0.4.0.AppImage

Does not start? AppImage needs FUSE 2: sudo apt install libfuse2 (libfuse2t64 on Ubuntu 24.04 and newer).
Or the .deb package (Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint) – install it with apt:

sudo apt install ./keesync_0.4.0_amd64.deb
Start KeeSync and sign in with your KeeSync account.
